Electric Sound Of Joy - Daughters Of Destruction

DCW, you rock!!! And in your honour, another sound of joy! Yet again a rare release from Electric Sound Of Joy. I managed to grab this years ago of the net, but yet another set of b-sides were impossible to find. So far, DCW has come through, so i figured I'd give it one last go.....does anyone have the 3 extra tracks from this single?

A: Daughters Of Destruction
B: Disemboogie
C: Berdoo
D: Extra Feet

I have a recording of ESOJ's Peel Session and a live bootleg that my girlfriend recorded herself at a gig at Derby Wherehouse in 1995/6, when Doug was still the singer. The quality's not amazing but there are tracks not released on vinyl or CD. I'll digitize and upload them...

We've done some homework - the gig is at The Loft, Derby in 1998:

This is incredible!!! I can't thank you enough for these rare gems! Can't wait to hear these downloads! How can I repay you?

Unfortunately I do not have that EP.

Awesome to see these recordings make it online. I've been waiting to hear the Peel session for a bit now.

It's a pleasure. Happy to be of service.

I stumbled across your blog after a friend posted a track by Plank! on his Facebook page, which reminded me of ESOJ. That led to me think, "I wonder what happened to them" and a Google search...

Cool! Well, thanks to both of you. It feels rewarding to have some feedback to the blog and to hear some uncovered gems! Cheers!

Hey Ringinglow,

Greg was the singer, odd you should say Doug tho' - it's the name of his brother...

Jus, I'll up the DoD tracks and possibly more...

Good aren't they?!

Well, I'm away from home armed only with a malfunctioning laptop and an at best primitive understanding of this uploading lark... nevertheless, here is the 1999 Electric Sound of Joy Foundry Records mini album. Unfortunately you will need to download the tracks individually. Perhaps a brighter spark could rectify that... anyway, it's here:

Hey thanks so much! I actually have the mini album. Found it in Vancouver about 9 years ago. Will wait for those DOD tracks! Cheers. I can't believe it took ESOJ to get some life here!

Their John Peel live set has just been played on Radio 6 - Gideon Coe http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00tnm47

Great lads, I know them all and had the pleasure of catching Sun Ra's Arkestra live earlier this year with Greg and Ben.
Hopefully future generations will continue to dig out their wonderful rare gems
